Bali bali

It was the 23rd day of June 2008. As a second grade student in my senior high school, I and my friends had an agenda to visit one city in Indonesia to be observed. Usually, the students call the visitation as Study Tour. The purpose of the visit was to gather the all the information about certain place, about the tradition and also the culture of local residents. After we got enough information, we had to make the scientific work as one of the terms in my senior high school graduation.

My school had already decided two different cities as the tour destination. First we had Bali, and the other alternative city was Jogjakarta. Students made their own choice, in which city they wanted to do their observation. I chose Bali as my study tour destination. Schedule of the departure was at 1pm. We went there together from the school by busses. Of course a few days before I went to Bali, I had prepared the important things I should bring such as clothes, notebook, medicines, snacks and some money to buy something I wanted.

I had approximately 24 hours trip or almost a day before I came to Bali, whether it took the main road or the trip by ship across the straits. Although the trip took long time, I enjoyed every moment inside the trip very much. I arrived at the hotel at about 3pm in the afternoon. The teacher had classified the room according to the absent number, so I didn’t have to be worry about it. After I got my own room, I took a bath and then had some rest in my room. At night, the first destination in Bali was Galleria. It consists of a lot of shops selling branded shirts, shoes, and bags. The school had provided our dinner there. Satisfied with my shopping time, then I decided to have dinner with my friends. Done with Galleria, we came back to the hotel and took a rest.

Woke up early in the morning, I was ready for the next destination. Second day in Bali, we had to visit the Panglipuran village which lies on the plateau at the suburban area in Bali. Panglipuran had a beautiful view and the environment was still green. I should gather information in this place according to my class’s teacher. I made some conversation with the local residents, and then I recorded their explanation about Panglipuran. The teacher gives us two hours to do it and to enjoy our trip in Panglipuran village. Dreamland became the third destination in Bali. Dreamland, as its name, was a private beach providing a great view of coastal area. The beach was still quiet, only a few tourists visited it. I took some picture there with my friends. Really nice to spend the time there since that was my first experience.

At about 4pm, we went back to the hotel. I had a free time until dinner to do anything as long as in the hotel area. I preferred to have some snacks and share with the others about what they felt all day long. Most of them told me that they were very pleased to join this study tour. I had dinner with my friends and the teachers in the hotel. We ate Balinese cuisine and also another special food from Bali. After the dinner, I came back to my room then slept to regain energy for my body.

The third day became my last day in Bali because the next day we had to went back to Solo again. As the day before, I woke up in the morning and prepared myself for this day. We had the schedule to visit one of the universities in Bali, so all of us should wear the school uniform. When we got there, we were lead to the university hall to follow the welcoming from the university lecturer. After the welcoming, we could have some tour inside the university to saw the teaching method, the facilities and infrastructures, and also the technology which the university used. It was only for two hours we learn about the university before we went to Tanjung Benoa.

It was a nice place too in Bali. You could have some fun with playing banana boat, parasailing, and many other things there. I was little bit scared to try because I couldn’t swim well. I waste my time taking the photograph and see souvenirs to be bought. We should come back to the hotel earlier because at night the dinner would be held at Ubud. At the hotel I started to pack all of my stuffs to my suitcase in order to prevent anything left when I went back to Solo. Dinner at Ubud serves not only a nice atmosphere but also a nice entertainment because I could see Balinese dance there. I enjoyed this moment very much because it was rare to see Balinese dance especially in a live show.

Last day in Bali made me feel so happy. After a night rest, I was ready to had long trip again came back to Solo. I went by the bus from the hotel at 8am in the morning and arrived to Solo at 5am in the next day. I felt very tired but I was very satisfied too because I had a great study tour.

PAST NARATIVE

is it should be a habitual past or just past story?

not only DREAMS and HOPES, but my FUTURE

Dreams and Future plans, when I heard this word I didn’t know what I wanted to write. Then I took a little time and try to discover what I want. And here they are……

Since I am a student of PBI Sanata Dharma, I am willing to be an English teacher or lecturer (but I prefer lecturer than teacher, I’ll tell you later). Since I am a woman, I also have some dreams to marry my Mr. Right someday. Then, I want to run my own business. So, I have three main dreams to catch here. First, to become a lecturer; second, to become a good wife and a good mother; and the third is to have my own business.

Okay let’s see the steps to catch my first dream. Being a lecturer isn’t an easy job guys, we know it very well. Because of that, I have to do my best. Maybe after graduated from this university I will take a Post Graduate Program. I don’t want to be a teacher (high school teacher) because most of the students in high school aren’t mature enough. I mean they still do a lot of silly things (based on my own experiences of being high school student). So, I would like to be a lecturer. Maybe facing the university students will provide a lot of unexpected things because the majority of them are very critical person. But, I think that’s the proof that they are going mature.

Then, my second dream, I want to marry my Mr. Right and have my two kids. I hope that I have met my Mr. Right; I hope that my Mr. Right is the person who has through these two years with me. One day, when I deliver my baby in this cruel world I would give him/her name Arnold/Helga. Do you know where it is from? Yeah, it’s taken from the character of Hey Arnold! , one of the Nickelodeon cartoons.

Then my third dream, I want to own a business. I want to have it as my investment. I want to run a home industry like garment, or maybe a minimarket. But that wouldn’t be my own business; that would be a family business. So my son and my daughter will run that business when my husband and I couldn’t manage it again.

Those three are a bit of my dreams. Those aren’t only dreams for me. Those are my future plans. So, if I could I am going to make it true. Amiiiieeeeenn

It's FRIDAY, I'm in LOVE

Hi guys! It's great to meet you again at this blog. In this post, I would like to share with you about my daily activity. Then now, I want to tell you my daily activity in Friday. Well, Friday is kind of special day for me. Do you know why? I guess most of you have known it well

I usually wake up at 5.30 am because I have to attend a class at 7 am. About one and a half hour, I prepare all my self and my stuff before I go to the campus. Right after waking up I have my morning prayer to give thanks to Jesus who always keeps me while I was sleeping and ask His blessing and His guidance at that day. After taking a bath, I usually watch my favorite cartoon while having some bread for breakfast. FYI, breakfast regularly before we take our daily activity can optimize the function of the brain and maintain the immunity to avoid the illness.

I usually go to the campus at 6.45 am. I ride my own motorcycle to go to campus. It isn’t far from my boarding house. It’s only about 5 kilometers. So, I can be on time. At 7 am to 9 am I have my Pronunciation Class. It’s one of interesting classes, I think, because I do enjoy this class. Maybe, it’s because of my Friday’s mood. After Pronunciation Class, I have my Guidance and Counseling Class. In this class, I usually became worry. Do you know why? I don’t want to miss the train.

Yippie, at Friday after the class is ended I go to my lovely hometown Solo. After the class is ended at 11 am, I run to the parking lot and try to find my motorcycle (I am an absent-minded person. Forget the place where I park my motorcycle is like a habit for me). Then, after finding my motorcycle I go to my boarding house and take all the stuff that I need to bring to Solo (I usually prepare it at Thursday). The train will be leaving at 11.41 am so I must be hurry to catch it.

So, above is my daily activity at Friday in Jogja before I go back to Solo. After an hour travel I arrive in Solo, my boyfriend usually pick me up at the Purwosari Railway Station. But if he has something to do at that time I go home by becak or bus.

Guys, I think that’s enough from me. I’m glad that tomorrow is Friday and I am ready to go home. Thanks for reading.

this is it :p

Hello guys, in this post I'll try to explain the process of making omelette. Do you know how to make it? Well, If you don't just check this one out!

It's start with combining eggs, salt and pepper in a medium-sized bowl. Then it's beaten with fork until it combined but not too frothy. It's continued when the butter (or cooking oil) is melted in a pan with medium-high or high heat. Then when the butter or oil stops foaming the eggs poured into the skillet. After pouring the eggs into the skillet, the edges of the eggs mixture is pushed in so the uncooked eggs on top to flow underneath and make direct contact with the skillet. The procedure is repeated at various spots around the edge of the setting eggs mixture. When eggs are set but still shiny, the omelette is removed from the heat. The whole process should take just 2 or 3 minutes. Finally, the omelette is folded in a half and slided into warm plate.

How was that? Easy right? Yeeeaaaahhh, find some difficulties? Why don't you come to make some omelette with me?

another guessing game :)

Holla guys! In this time I want to share with you about one of my favorite lecturers. Let's make it as a guessing game. I'll describe him/her but, I won't tell you his/her name. I'll let you to guess who he or she is. Here are the clues :)

Let's begin with his or her appearance. This person has a slim body. He/she also has a medium height. So, I can say that this person has a proportional body. This person has a black straight hair ( don't tell you the length because that will be easier to guess if I give it). He/she also has a round face with his/her chubby cheeks. He/she has black eyes. He/she has slanted eyes so when he/she is smilling his/her eyes will become a line.He/she always wears glasses, that makes he/she looks smarter (actually he/she is very smart and diligent). Can you get the sketch of this person?
He/she has a good sense of fashion. I mean he/she has never looked out-of-date. He/she is very smart in combining his/her clothes. Until this time, when I am writing this post, I still wondering how many tops he/she has. Because he/she seems to use different tops everyday :p He/she smart in a lot of ways, isn't he/she?
He/she is kind of punctual person; he/she have never come late. He/she also the type of discipline person; everytime he/she couldn't come to the class, he/she will give us make up class to make he/she sure that we understand the materials well. He/she always teach us in patience; he/she has never got mad everytime we make some noise, he/she only warned to to be quiet.
So guys, do you get his/her name?

Okay guys, that's enough. Is it too general? Comment me to give your answer or your correction. Thank you for reading. God bless :)

Try to guess it guys :p

Hello guys! Nice to see you. This time I want to describe a place around this campus, and then you can try to guess where and what exactly it is. Here are the clues :

I am located in Mrican II building. I am placed near the parking area and hall. There are 4 small rooms inside me. Most of girls visit me every time they arrive in campus. Only women are allowed to enter me. I am always clean and smell good. I have a pretty wide mirror but unfortunately it was broken. I am such a important part of this campus, can you imagine a place without I am inside? That would be terrible!
So guys, can you guess where and what exactly am I??

*too easy to guess I think -_________________-
